G0RN — GORN | Music film
My role
Co-directed with Kirill Perevozchikov. Editing dramaturgy, editing, colour grading, sound design, VFX and cleanup.
I also designed the typeface, identity, album artwork and printed poster.
Visual world
The film brings two states into conflict: Kirill’s cold, near-colourless world and G0RN’s warm, fire-lit reality.
Fire was used practically on set: first as a source of light, then as a character in its own right.
Each chapter shifts its visual language: cinematic image, Handycam, dirty digital texture and deliberate degradation move with the hero.
Character, music, GORN DISPLAY, artwork and film form one system: an entry point into the G0RN world.
Other materials
GORN DISPLAY
A typeface made for the project, with Cyrillic, Latin and numerals. Used throughout the project identity.
